President
Akiko Mishiba
I would like to express my deep gratitude to all of you for your cordial support. I have been appointed President and CEO of Oji Imaging Media Co., Ltd. Although it may be a small portion, I will do my best to keep developing our company and contributing to society. We are truly pleased by having your support.
As a core company of the Oji Group Functional Materials Company, we handle various imaging media such as thermal paper and inkjet paper. Thermal paper is important and deeply rooted in daily life, encompassing a wide range of supermarket and convenience store receipts, slip, tickets, and labels. Due to its excellent maintainability and ability to reliably provide information on site, we believe that it is still indispensable media even in the digitalization era of today.
In Japan, manufacturing base is only one, the Kanzaki Mill in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, but we have affiliated companies in the United States, Germany, Thailand, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, etc., and are expanding our business globally. We have over 10% market share in the global thermal paper business and possess strong organization to respond quickly and accurately to global needs.
In recent years, the number of visitors to Japan has reached a high record due to the recovery and expansion of inbound demand, and it cause increase of opportunities for receipts and tickets consumption by tourism activities and commercial facilities. Influenced by such a condition, the demand for thermal paper is expected to remain stable growth in the future. In this situation, as a leading company we recognize that our responsibilities are becoming important in the domestic market of thermal paper.
In order to fulfill these responsibilities, we will contribute to a sustainable society following the policy of our company, and we will work harder on safety and the environment and compliance as the most important issues.
In addition, we carefully research the needs of our business partners through meticulous sales activities and utilize the manufacturing know-how, we have cultivated over many years to create "new products and new applications" that go beyond the framework of existing products. As a new value provider, all employee is enhancing expertise and working all together to further develop our business.

Product Information
Thermal Paper
Thermal paper is a characteristic paper that develops color image by melting reaction of chemicals coated on paper surface after heated at the printhead.
A structure of thermal printer is relatively simple and suitable for printing of variable information. Also, it keeps running costs low because the required consumable goods is thermal paper only.
Additionally, this paper is used in various fields and necessary by its user-friendliness characteristic of maintenance-free.
Based on theses advantages, thermal paper is used in various situations of daily life. You can see receipts, labels, tickets of thermal papers.
Applications
■Point of Sales (POS)
These products are used for mainly receipts (convenience store, supermarket, department store, retail store etc.).
In addition, we provide lineups of thermal paper products colored on the surface.

Thermal film
We have film thermal products which have superior image quality, gray scale expression, durability with BOPP synthetic base and PET base films.
It is used for food, process control, medical labels, ultrasound medical diagnosis and X-ray thermal films.
Applications
■Label for food packaging and medical supplies
We succeeded in commercialization of the media with unique characteristics.
One item is transparent label for food packaging to enable to see the content of clear plastic package through the attached label.
Second item is high alcohol resistance label for food packaging and medical usage.
■Ultrasound thermal film
The print media shall have the property that high resolution, delicate gradation expression and gloss such as photographs usage by medical service needs. We established the highest quality level in the manufacturing by its proprietary technology and formed a quality control framework to meet customer needs.
■X-ray blue thermal film
We developed the X-ray blue thermal film, which may be used with X-rays, CT scans, MRI, or other imaging tests, making full use of innovative and proprietary technology. We provide various products to support socially essential medical services.

Inkjet Paper
Inkjet paper is a suitable product for various usage such as photo printing at home, oversize prints like posters, and postcard printing. And its characteristic is classy finished images with excellent image clarity.
We successfully achieve excellent characteristics such as smudge resistant and instantly-dry by coating excellent ink absorption porous silica and highly polymerized compound
This product is environmentally friendly medium with its excellent recyclability because of usage of paper for base material.
We provide various inkjet papers such as high glossy paper, semi glossy paper, matte paper and plain paper according to applications.
Applications
■High glossy paper
There are various lineups such as products with exclusive usage for just dye ink, and products available for both inks (dye ink and pigment ink).
This product is environmentally friendly medium with its excellent recyclability because of usage of paper for base material.
It is suitable for photo printing at home, oversize prints, and postcards printing due to its calm and soft finished image characteristics.
■Semi glossy paper
It is suitable for proof-printing and oversize prints due to its easily folding characteristics.
In addition, we succeeded in commercialization of the less cockling (rippling) products using paper basis.
■Matte paper
There are various lineups such as products with limited usage for just dye ink, and products available for both inks (dye ink and pigment ink). This product is an environmentally friendly medium with its excellent recyclability because of usage of paper for base material.
It is suitable for photo printing at home, oversize prints and postcards printing due to its calm and soft finished image characteristics.
